This Privacy Policy applies when you use the WenWe app, website, WenWe PhotoBooths and other services provided by us.

Some WenWe services, including our PhotoBooths, may be used without creating a WenWe account. Where you use those services, the relevant parts of this Privacy Policy still apply to you.

 

This policy governs how we deal with your data & information when you’re using

WenWe.

 

We’re based in the Isle of Man, which is a British Crown Dependency, and we’re called

Out of View Limited is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data for the purposes of applicable data protection laws.

 

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us or that we collect from you when you use our platform.

 

Our policy is to respect your privacy and keep your data private, confidential, and secure. We do not sell your data to third parties.

 

WenWe is for private sharing and real-world connection rather than public feeds, advertising, or algorithm-driven engagement.

 

Information We Collect

  • Most of the information we collect about you is the information that you provide to us. In operating our app, we collect and process additional data, including but not limited to the following:

  • Information that you provide when registering with us, which you may edit at any time.
    Information generated through your use of our platform.

  • Details of your visits to our platform and the resources that you access, including but not limited to traffic data and other communication data.

  • Information you provide when you communicate with us.

  • Friends & others that you have collaborated with.

  • Your WenWe’s and Albums.

  • Records of contact you make with us, which we keep to handle and track your query or request.

  • Technical information relating to your device, browser, app usage, crash reports, and analytics data where applicable.

 

Use of Your Information

  • The information we collect and store about you is used to enable us to provide our services and to support the functioning of the platform. We may also use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with information about our services that we believe may be of interest to you.

  • To comply with our Terms and Conditions.

  • To notify you about changes to our website or app, including improvements or new services that may affect or be of interest to you.

  • To comply with legal obligations.

  • To send you reminders to update your personal information.

  • To display messages, comments, and collaborative content within the platform as part of the WenWe service.

  • To provide due diligence information as required.

  • To analyse how users interact with the platform so that we can improve functionality, performance, and user experience.

  • To share with third parties who provide services to us. Such sharing is on a confidential basis and limited to the minimum amount of data required.

  • At your instigation and on your behalf, to contact others by email or other electronic means who may like to join the site or contribute to a WenWe.

  • Except as described above, we do not share your data with any third parties, including marketing companies.

 

Legal Basis for Processing

 

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the WenWe service to you)
    Legitimate interests (to improve and secure the platform)

  • Consent (where required, including certain marketing communications)

  • Compliance with legal obligations

 

PhotoLab Products

 

We will use images you have sent us electronically to print images and 3D LithoPanes.

 

If you have ordered a LithoPane, its production process may be live streamed and shown at the Store or posted on YouTube or other sites. Such livestreams are intended

to show the printing process and not to publicly identify customers personally.

 

 

Storing and Security of Your Data

We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. All data you provide is stored on secure servers.

 

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

 

We encourage you to take care when sharing sensitive information.

 

The transmission of information over the internet carries inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically; any such transmission is at your own risk.

 

We have implemented appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data from accidental loss or unauthorized access, including, but not limited to, access controls.

 

Despite our efforts, information shared with other users or third parties may be copied, shared, or misused outside the platform in ways beyond our reasonable control.

International Transfers

 

Some of our service providers may process data outside the Isle of Man or the United Kingdom.

 

Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

 

 

Retention

 

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

 

We may also:

  • Retain certain records, including financial and transaction records, for up to seven years where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

  • Keep your data as long as you remain a registered user.

  • Anonymise your data (so that it cannot be associated with you) for internal research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use it indefinitely.

 

Disclosing Your Information

 

We only share your personal data with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy or where required or permitted by law.

 

This includes sharing limited information with service providers who help us operate

WenWe. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or a regulatory authority.

 

Any WenWe you create on the platform will be viewable by contributors and friends, depending on your privacy settings.

 

We do not routinely monitor private messages, WenWe’s or Albums. We may review content where reasonably necessary to investigate reported or suspected breaches of our Terms & Conditions, illegal activity, security issues or abuse reports, or to comply with our legal obligations.

 

WenWe’s and Albums that you create or contribute to may be downloaded or shared by other users and may be posted on social media or circulated outside WenWe. Any downloading or sharing is subject to our Terms & Conditions, including any restrictions relating to licensed music.

 

If you delete a WenWe you have created it will be removed from active use on the platform, subject to routine backup retention periods, together with all associated clips.

 

If you leave a WenWe you have contributed to, before it has closed, it will be removed from your account and your clips will be removed from it.

 

If you leave a WenWe you have contributed to, after it has closed, it will be removed from your account, but it will still be available on the site to other users together with any clips you contributed.

 

 

WenWe’s & Albums

 

Your WenWe’s are visible to contributors and may be visible to your friends, depending on the chosen privacy settings. Please be aware that content shared with other users may also be screen recorded, copied or otherwise captured and shared by them outside the platform, which is beyond our reasonable control.

 

 

PhotoBooths

 

When you use a WenWe PhotoBooth, we process and store electronically the photographs taken during your session and information relating to your PhotoBooth session in order to provide the service, including producing your printed photographs and making digital copies available to you.

 

You do not need to have a WenWe account or the WenWe app to use a PhotoBooth. If you want to access your photographs digitally, you will need to download the WenWe app and use the QR code provided at the PhotoBooth to access them.

 

Your photographs will be stored electronically even if you do not download the app or use the QR code. Photographs which have not been accessed may be deleted after a reasonable period.

 

If you choose to give us permission to display your PhotoBooth photographs on a WenWe photo and video wall, screen, website, social media or other promotional material, we will use your photographs for those purposes. Giving permission is optional and does not affect your use of the PhotoBooth.

 

 

WenWe Connect

 

If you choose to use WenWe Connect, we collect and store your answers to the Connect questions together with your PhotoBooth photograph and group name, where applicable.

 

We use this information to compare your answers with those of other Connect participants and to identify potential matches.

 

Where a match is made, your PhotoBooth photograph and group name, where applicable, may be shown to the participant or group you have matched with. Their photograph and group name may similarly be shown to you.

 

We do not provide Connect participants with each other's contact information and we do not put matched participants in contact with each other.

 

Your Connect information may continue to be included in the Connect matching pool.

 

We may vary the period of time over which previous participants are considered when identifying potential matches.

 

You can choose whether or not to take part in Connect. Taking part is not required in order to use the WenWe PhotoBooth.

 

 

Children

 

WenWe is not intended for children under the age of 13.

 

If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a child under the age of 13, we may delete that information.

 

 

Your Rights

 

Under the UK GDPR and Isle of Man data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • The right to restrict processing

  • The right to data portability
